Welcome
to the Lake Champlain Sea Grant Program. We are one of the newest
partners in the National Sea Grant College Program Network that
was established in 1966 by the U.S. Congress to promote wise
use, conservation, and sustainable development of marine, coastal,
and Great Lakes resources. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce oversees Sea
Grant, which supports the ecological research, education, and
outreach efforts of 32 Sea Grant Colleges involving more than
300 universities and research institutions from Alaska to Puerto
Rico.
